There is such incredible deception behind the marketing of "diet" foods / diet supplements.
People romanticize about the idea of a "quick fix," tempted, by the promise of a "solution" to the thing they feel the most lost about ... their body / bodily-dissatisfaction.
It's all so sad, and it makes me SO uncomfortable. Almost, ill.
The truth though, is that you just can't BUY weight-loss (just as you can't buy muscles at
The Eaton Centre), AND if you do TRY to, it could be at the risk of your health.
Diet foods are likely the most heavily processed foods, and they often contain chemicals (namely, MSG!), which have been shown to spike insulin (the way sugar does). Note: whenever insulin spikes, your body goes into "fat storage" mode (Hmmm....). These artificial chemicals (burden the liver), while other ingredients like caffeine (tax the adrenal glands and the heart).
To achieve your "ideal" body weight, you truly / simply must DO the work! And the inspiration to do so, must come from within!
Once you line up with your "inspiration," I recommend you shift your focus to activities which are not
only going to be helpful in terms of you reaching your goal, but to those things also, that are going to be health-serving (please don't sabotage your health, in other words, for the sake of MAYBE loosing a few pounds!).
Focus on eating well, and on eating REAL foods (that means no chemicals!). Eat whole
foods (avoid processed ones), fresh foods, and lots of raw food.
Do your YOGA and STRETCH often! This will reduce food cravings, boost serotonin
levels, and lower-cortisol (elevated levels of this "stress" hormone lead to weight gain).
Sleep enough, play everyday, and take the time to align with who you truly ARE!
I personally believe that when you're are in alignment with your true-self, the other things (in which you are desiring), will effortlessly fall into place.
Ditch the doomsday diet my friends,
and focus, on loosing your excess weight from a positively focused /
self-supportive place.
